2. Ingrid Bathe: Ingrid uses the very primitive technique of pinching to create simple, functional forms. The utilization of the elegant, stark white of the porcelain adds a sort of museum-esque quality to these lovely pieces, which juxtapose the very simple, heartwarming forms. Though pinching is a “primitive” technique, I use that term loosely and with respect; to achieve and the level of delicateness and elegance is something very admirable and I only wish I could have the patience and soft touch it take to accomplish what Bathe has.
